Richie Kotzen talks about pickups DiMarzio Chopper T and Twang King, which are used in their guitars and demonstrates their sound.
Richie Kotzen's favorite guitar is a Fender Telecaster, based on which he made his own signature model. When it comes to pickups, this guitar is currently using a combination of DiMarzio Chopper T pickup at the bridge and Twang King neck pickup.
Chopper T is a transducer type humbucker in a typical single housing adapted for mounting Telecaster guitars. It has a stronger signal and more massive bandwidth than traditionally used in this position single coil pickups, and above all free from noise characteristic for them so well suited to heavy distortion.

Twang King in turn, is a nod to the classic Tele sound, reproducing the atmosphere of vintage modern design. Offering excellent dynamics - light and subtle playing evokes pure and delicate sound, while a stronger impact evoke a strong response of the instrument. Although it is a single coil design, the assumption better proven in sounds clean, very well cope well with przesterami.
